The inaugural season for the Pro Volleyball Federation has come to an end with the Omaha Supernovas (18-7 overall) gaining the title and making history as the first PVF Champions against the Grand Rapids Rise in May.

With seven teams (Atlanta Vibe, Columbus Fury, Grand Rapids Rise, Omaha Supernovas, Orlando Valkyries, San Diego Mojo and Vegas Thrill) to open the season and volleyball fans everywhere tuning into the season, the natural question surrounding the league is: what's next?

Starting June 1st, the player contracts have started opening for negotiation. And that will be open until June 30th for players to be eligible to sign with a team.

Going into the 2025 season, the PVF plans to add 3 more teams and a possible increase of salaries for the athletes involved.

With an official attendance of 10,678 during the national championship, the league hopes to increase their fanbase and the league by gaining more traction and upgrades going into season two.

The PVF also announced a new app they've released in May for fans to follow along their favorite teams, stay updated with news surrounding the league and even buy tickets for future games. It can be download on Google Play and the IOS store.

With the inaugural season starting in February and the teams announced in December, it's safe to assume that the same would be modeled leading into the next season, unless further announcements are made following changes.

With the PVF being the first "Real" U.S. volleyball league that provides their athletes with a real life living wage and structured arenas, schedules and the pro athlete experience, we are all hoping to watch the league and its teams thrive as they approach the new season with more players and updates involved.

I'll be covering more about the PVF and specifically the Atlanta Vibe as the season comes nearer. But in the meantime, check out the first episode of my starting podcast "Net Knowledge" as I interview Atlanta Vibe's Karis Watson on her journey in volleyball and getting into the league.
