Micahya Costen is a multimedia journalist and freelance sports writer based in the Atlanta area. A graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in sports journalism, she is currently pursuing her master’s degree in sports management at the University of South Carolina.

Passionate about storytelling, she delves into behind-the-scenes aspects of each narrative to deliver accurate and engaging information. Growing up in a sports-oriented family instilled in her a deep appreciation for sports storytelling. Learning about athletes’ lifestyles and journeys is something she draws inspiration from professionally and personally.

Costen has contributed to outlets such as The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Athlon Sports and SB Nation’s Battery Power, with experience in credentialed game coverage, feature writing, and multimedia content. In addition to her written work, she creates digital sports content and hosts "The Athlete's Section" podcast, where she highlights athletes’ stories beyond their performance on the field.
