With an undefeated season of 15-0, the Georgia Bulldogs are taking home another National Championship for the second time in a row.

Monday night, the Bulldogs ended their season at the National Championship in Los Angeles “So-fi” Stadium, scoring 65-7 over the number 3 team, Texas Christian University (TCU). This puts the Dawgs at four national championship titles overall, and the first team to win back-to-back national champion titles in the CFP era.

No. 13 Georgia Senior quarterback, Stetson Bennett ended his career by being named Offensive Player of the Game and setting the season mark for 4,127 passing yards.

During the post-game press conference, Bennett was asked about his emotions while coming out of the game during the time-out that Coach Kirby Smart called.

“As simple as it is, just one last huddle with the guys, you know. That was special coming off seeing Coach Smart. That was really cool and I appreciate that,” Stetson said.

When asked about being named the “Best Quarterback in Georgia History,” Bennett says that they’ve had a really good offense and it makes him proud about what he’s accomplished when he hears that, however, he isn’t sure about the title of being the best because of all the great players he’s watched growing up, and he deems them just as amazing.

With the title and continuous celebration of the win, it’s time the question arises, what’s next? Will the Bulldogs have a three-peat in the upcoming season or will there be difficulty in upholding a third title in a row?

“The biggest challenge is the same thing it is in all of the world. The world we live in today, the society we live in, is entitlement. So, the minute that you think you’re entitled to winning games and you don’t have to work hard, Coach Dykes and I were talking about it you know, the uphill battle for those guys is you think that you just inherit success,” Smart said when asked about what he thinks the next season holds.

Smart went on to say also that he personally thought that next year would be much more challenging than this year because although there will be players returning, there is a lot of talent they will be losing, including Bennett. However, if they can overpower the disease of entitlement with leadership then they can stay hungry.

Smart says that they have three really good quarterbacks who have been learning, taking hits, and gaining playing time throughout the season. In the running are sophomore Carson Beck, freshman Gunner Stockton and freshman Brock Vandagriff. He says that the three will battle it out and learn a lot while getting ready for the next season just as Bennett did.
